Brand New — Jude Law And A Semester Abroad — 7" (2003) - VERY RARE

Some records are rare because nobody particularly wanted them in the first place. This isn't one of those.

This is the original 2003 UK 7" pressing of Brand New's “Jude Law And A Semester Abroad”, released by Eat Sleep Records under catalogue number EAT026S. The black-vinyl pressing was limited to just 200 copies, making it one of the significantly harder early Brand New releases to find. Contemporary collector documentation describes the pressing as limited to 200 and notes that it had already become particularly difficult to track down more than a decade ago.

Taken from Your Favorite Weapon, “Jude Law And A Semester Abroad” sits on the A-side, with Brand New's cover of Love Spit Love's “Am I Wrong” on the reverse.

This copy also retains the original Brand New mailing insert, complete with the band's London PO Box address — exactly the sort of wonderfully obsolete little bit of ephemera that tends to disappear somewhere during the intervening twenty-odd years.

And this one has survived remarkably well. The sleeve, vinyl and insert are all in exceptionally clean condition with very little evidence of their age. We're deliberately not assigning a formal record-collector grade, so have a good look through the photographs for the precise condition, but there is very little here to complain about.

An increasingly difficult early Brand New release, complete, beautifully preserved, and from a pressing of only 200 copies.
